Elderflower Infusion
INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp elderflowers
8 oz purified water
Elderflower infusions encourage the body to sweat and lower fevers. They also have anti-inflammatory properties and can dissolve mucus and ease irritable coughs. BREW TIME
Pour boiling water over the elderflowers in your favorite tea mug. Infuse for 10 minutes, then strain and drink straight away.
Garlic, Cayenne Pepper, Parsley + Chive Infusion
INGREDIENTS
8 oz purified water
2 peeled garlic cloves
3 sprigs of fresh parsley
3 fresh chives
1 big pinch of cayenne pepper
Garlic has powerful antibacterial and disinfectant properties, and parsley is stimulating with antispasmodic properties. The combo is a one-two punch for colds. Chives are high in vitamin C, cleanse the blood and loosen phlegm. Cayenne pepper is a daily must-have, as it cleanses and detoxes while stimulating circulation. It also helps fight off infection, inflammation and swelling.
BREW TIME
Bring your water to a boil, remove from heat and add garlic. Infuse for 15 minutes. Add finely chopped parsley and chives to your infusion. Add the cayenne pepper last. Strain into your favorite mug or small bowl and drink as hot as you can without burning your mouth.
